Thomastik Dominant strings have a nylon core which gives them the warm, gut-like tone preferred by players worldwide. Aluminum E is wound, which makes it thicker and provides a less piercing tone. The response of this string is slower though. Silver D is thinner, and more responsive. Consider enhancing a Dominant A, D and G with your favorite E string.
