The Gibson ES-335 is one of the greatest guitar designs of all time. Renowned for its exceptional versatility, it has been used by countless players across a wide range of genres.

By combining the best elements of solidbody and thinline hollowbody designs, the ES-335 delivers excellent resonance while resisting feedback far better than a traditional full hollowbody guitar. A key part of this is the **solid maple centerblock** inside the body.

Now, **Epiphone, in cooperation with Gibson Custom**, proudly introduces the **1962 ES-335 Reissue**.

Inspired by Gibson Custom's acclaimed ES-335 models, this guitar is purposefully based on a model year that Gibson Custom does not currently reissue: **1962**. This was a year when several now-iconic ES-335 features came together, including rounded cutaways, small block inlays, and a fast-playing slim neck profile.

The Epiphone 1962 ES-335 Reissue features a **semi-hollow, 5-ply layered maple/poplar body** with classic rounded cutaways.

Inside is a **solid maple centerblock**, providing excellent sustain while significantly improving resistance to unwanted feedback.

## Authentic 1960s Neck

The genuine **one-piece mahogany neck** features a thin **1960s Slim Taper™ C profile**, giving the guitar the fast and comfortable feel associated with early-'60s ES-335 models.

The neck is capped with a **rosewood fretboard** equipped with **22 medium jumbo frets** and **mother-of-pearl small block inlays**.

Rounded fretboard edges create a comfortable, played-in feel that makes the guitar inviting to play for hours at a time.

Even the side dot position markers replicate the size and historically accurate placement found on vintage 1962 ES-335 models.

## Vintage-Inspired Headstock & Hardware

The Gibson-style **"open book" headstock** features an Epiphone logo and Gibson Crown, both inlaid in **aged mother-of-pearl**.

It is fitted with smooth-turning **Epiphone Deluxe tuning machines** with Double Ring Keystone-style buttons and a **Graph Tech® nut**.

At the body end, the strings are anchored directly into the solid maple centerblock through an **ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge** and **Gibson historic reissue aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece**.

This construction further contributes to the guitar's excellent sustain.
